ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The “Youm-e-Shuhada-e-Wah Cantt.” was observed throughout the country including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas with national spirit, devotion and respect on Sunday on the call of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Quran Khwani and collective dua for Shuhada began after Fajr prayers in all small and big cities and towns of the country including Federal Capital and Rawalpindi Region. Peaceful protest demonstrations were organised by TNFJ District Councils against continued incidents of terrorism.

A protest demonstration was staged at Markazi Imambargah Jamia Al-Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad under the auspices of TNFJ Islamabad City Council against terrorism and incidents of murder and terror all over the country including Wah Cantt. and Dera Ismail Khan incidents.

TNFJ Central Youm-e-Shuhada Wah Cantt. Committee Convener Dr. S. Zaman, Chairman TNFJ Political Cell Zulfiqar Ali Raja, District President MSO Jawwad Hussain Awan and other elite led the demonstration.

Dr. S. Zaman in his address on the occasion termed the gory murder of innocent and dutiful poor labourers of Wah Cantt., murder of dozens of innocent people of Chah Syed Munawar Shah Zaidi in Dera Ismail Khan and the heinous murder of Deputy Secretary General TNFJ Sardar Mumtaz Ali Qazilbash in Peshawar as incidents of open terrorism.

He said international colonial powers and their agents are involved in all these incidents because they consider Pakistan being an atomic power as a mole in their eyes.

Condemning some renowned politicians for declaring the incidents of terrorism as sectarian conflict, he said Sunnis and Shias are united but a handful of miscreants were set to disturb peace on the desire of their foreign masters.

He strongly demanded from the government to take notice of banned groups working with new names and their inclusion in political alliances and demanded that the powers that be should avoid making them sit with them rather take action against them as they are the culprits of the nation and the country and deserve no relaxation.

Zulfiqar Ali Raja in his address said that motherland Pakistan was the target of terrorism for a long time and people are confronted with different problems and difficulties in the face of price hike. He said there was need to resolve these problems but we could not even get rid of terrorism despite Anti-Terrorism Act being in place and could not identify the unseen forces bent upon sabotaging the good steps taken to check terrorism.

He lamented that the banned groups are roaming around freely and are included in peace committees that is tantamount to asking the cat to take care of the milk. He demanded from the government to set up a broad-based probe commission so as to unveil the real culprits of all incidents of terrorism and give them exemplary punishment, and ensure effective implementation of the Anti-Terrorism Act so that the people could lead a peaceful life.

A resolution adopted on the occasion said it is the government’s foremost duty to ensure peace, therefore, the powers that be should utilise all their energy in restoring law and order while all sections of society should practically help them in doing so and condemns terrorism at every stage. The menace of terrorism could be rooted out only through the practical display of mutual unity and brotherhood, it said.

Mufti Basim Abbas Zahiri, Maulana Kazim Abbas Kazmi, Zakir Riwayat Hussain Ravi, Zakir Jafar-e-Tayyar, Zakir Mohsin Raza Bilali, Syed Ali Zaib Kazmi and others addressed a Majlis-e-Tarheem organised at Aza Khana Masoom-e-Qum under the auspices of Hay’at Tulaba-e-Islamia.

Quran Khwani and Majlis-e-Tarheem was organised in connection with the Soyem of Shuhada of Wah Cantt. incident at Lala Rukh Wah Cantt. Hojjatul Islam Allama Syed Hussain Muqaddasi addressing the gathering stressed the need of unity and brotherhood by all Makatib, expressed sympathy with the bereaved families and early recovery of the injured.

Quran Khwani, Fateha Khwani and Majalis-e-Tarheem were also organised at Jamia Wali Al-Asr, Danishgah-e-Jafariya, Masjid Imam Musa Kazim, Masjid Shah-e-Najaf, Imambargah Zain-ul-Aza and others places in connection with the Youm-e-Shuhada Wah Cantt.
