RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: The Majalis of Shahadat-e-Sakina Bint-ul-Hussain in connection with the ‘Ashra-e-Shaheeda-e-Zindan’ are being held in mosques and Imambargahs under the auspices of different organisations in various cities, towns, and villages of the country including Federal Capital Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Majlis Saqqa-e-Sakina (A.S.) was held at Imambargah Zain-ul-Aza. Ulema and zakireen paid pursa and condolences in the court of Sarkhail-e-Anbia (SAAW) and Ahle Bait Atahaar (A.S.). Later, Alam Mubarik of Hazrat Ghazi Abbas Alamdar (A.S.) was taken out. Matmi Dasta Sakhi Shah Piyara Chuhr Harpal, Matmi Dasta Shabab Ali Akbar, Matmi Dasta Ghulaman-e-Abu Talib, Matmi Dasta Ghulaman-e-Shahzada Ali Akbar, Matmi Dasta Sakhi Shah Chan Chiragh and Matmi Dasta Farogh-e-Azadari took part in Matamdari and Noha Khwani. The Matmi procession later terminated at Ali Masjid.

Allama Shaikh Ijaz Hussain Modarris addressing the Majlis said that seerat and character of Hazrat Sakina (S.A.) is the beacon of light for Dukhtaran-e-Islam who set a bright example of commitment and courage in front of Yazidi colonial powers.

Allama Syed Qamar Haider Zaidi in his address said that Saqqa-e-Sakina Hazrat Abbas Alamdar (A.S.) showed such bravery that he pushed the Shaami forces towards Kufa. He said the name of Ghazi Abbas (A.S.) is the symbol of faithfulness.

Maulana Malik Ijlal Haider Al-Haideri, Hassan Raza Kiani, Hassan Jaffar Zaidi, Aun Abbas Kazmi, Samaar Zaidi, Naqi Zaidi, and others also addressed the Majlis.

A resolution unanimously adopted by the participants of the Majlis said that the month of Safar Al-Muzaffar is commensurate with Arbaeen-e-Hussaini (Chehlum of Imam Aali Muqam) but it is tragic that the government’s Ruet-e-Hilal Committee did not give importance to sighting of moon of this month.

The resolution demanded from the government to take notice of this lapse and include real representatives of all Makatib in the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

The resolution reiterated resolve to follow the Code of Azadari announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi in letter and spirit.

Dr Shabeeh-e-Zahra addressing a Majlis-e-Aza at Jamia-tul-Murtaza Islamabad said that Hazrat Sakina (S.A.) along with the Khanwada-e-Ahle Bait (A.S.) kept the Hussaini objective intact in the streets of Kufa and Shaam and in the courts of Yazid and Ibne Ziad and played that exemplary role that made the name of Yazid a curse for ever. She kissed Shahadat in the Zindan-e-Shaam. She said this great sacrifice of her turned to be a guarantee for the survival of Qayam-e-Hussaini and welfare of the Muslim Ummah. The seerat of Hazrat Sakina is the key of survival, blessing and welfare of children the world over. She paid tributes to the Anjuman Dukhtran-e-Islam for successful holding of pious and spiritual Majalis.
