ISLAMABAD. Pakistan: Protest Day was observed throughout
the country including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas against British
implementation of conferment of title of ‘Sir’ to blasphemer Salman
Rushdie and against a private TV channel for humiliating Amirul
Momineen Khalifatul Muslimeen Hazrat Ali (A.S.) and pious Sahaba
Kubaar on the call of Jamiat Ulema-e-Jafariya Pakistan.

The Khutaba in their Khutbaat at Juma congregations
raised voice of protest and called upon the Islamic World,
particularly the OIC to break their silence, come out their shackles
and take courageous steps to thwart conspiracies against Islam and
Muslims.
In the Federal Capital Islamabad, ulema displayed a protest
demonstration in front of Press Club under the auspices of Jamiat
Ulema-e-Jafariya Islamabad Wing in which a large number of citizens
also participated. The demonstration was led by JUJP chief Allama Syed
Mohsin Ali Hamdani and other ulema. The participants of the
demonstration were carrying banners and placards inscribed with
different protest slogans and portraits of Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya
Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi. They also chanted slogans against
Britain and Dr. Israr. Addressing the demonstration, Allama Syed
Mohsin Ali Hamdani said that colonial powers and their agents utilized
all their energy on desecration of Anbia, Mursaleen and Swaleheen and
were still doing so. Taghoot and her agents including Rushdie
committed blasphemy sending a wave on resentment throughout the
Islamic World while the British Queen supported them by conferring the
title of ‘Sir’ on him adding fuel to the fire not only to Muslims but
to the whole humanity. He said the British Queen should go to the
church to seek forgiveness and take the title of ‘Sir’ back from
Rushdie.

Allama Basharat Hussain Imami presented a resolution on
this occasion which was unanimously adopted by the participants. The
resolution made it clear that insult to Mashaheer and heroes of any
religion or Millat are not only condemnable but are also a heinous
conspiracy against unity at large against which religions all over the
world should lodge a protest because protest is the basic right of
every nation. The resolution called upon the OIC to summon an emergent
session of the condemnable act of the British Queen and raise this
issue of the Islamic World at the United Nations. The resolution
demanded from the government of Pakistan to lodge a strong protest and
get a resolution passed from the National Assembly and the Senate
against this act.

Another resolution condemned a private TV channel named
as Quran TV for uttering humiliating remarks against Muhafiz-e-Quran
Khalifatul Muslimeen Hazrat Ali Ibne Abi Talib (A.S.) and demanded
from the government to take strict exemplary action against Dr. Israr
under the Anti-Terrorism Act. The resolution made it clear that
colonial powers were behind those people and organisations who are
committing humiliation against Mashaheer and Sha’air Allah, therefore,
those who insult the Mashaheer should be dealt with strictly in
Pakistan also because as per a saying of the Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya
Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi, the nations at large are under the
obligation to tighten the noose around Rushies inside and outside. The
demonstrators also set the British flag on fire and later disperse
peacefully chanting slogans.
