Istaqbal-e-Ramazan programmes conclude; Terrorism in Dera Ismail Khan, Parachinar condemned

By: Salman Alvi

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Istaqbal-e-Ramazan programmes announced by Quaid-i-Millat Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi concluded on Monday. Conferences, seminars and other functions were organised in mosques, Imambargahs and Madaris of all small and big towns, villages, and cities of the country. Incidents of terrorism in Dera Ismail Khan, Kurram Agency Parachinar, Wah Cantt, and gory murder of Deputy Secretary General TNFJ Sardar Mumtaz Ali Qazilbash were strongly condemned during these programmes while protest demonstrations were also organised.

Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, Convener of the TNFJ’s Central Ayyam Istaqbal-e-Ramazan Committee addressing a seminar at Jamia Wali Al-Asr Tarlai Kalan said it is the holy month the days and nights and even every moment of it are considered the best and during which standing up, sitting, sleeping, waking and even taking breath are considered worship. That is why, he added, first Ashra of this month is called Rehmat, second Maghfirat and third is called Sa’adat. He said the United Nations is the only representative of the whole world but owing to its slackness and double standards, the whole world of the humanity is confronted with oppression, suppression and brutality. Whether it is Kashmir, Palestine, Afghanistan or Iraq, the chief of the international colonial powers was playing ‘holi’ with the blood of Muslims but the United Nations was doing nothing except giving a lip-service, he added.

A resolution adopted on the occasion the correct welcome to this holy month is that we should express hatred against the oppressors and support the oppressed. The resolution strongly condemned the oppression going on the oppressed world in Palestine, Kashmir, Iraq and Afghanistan and demanded from the international organisations including the United Nations to play their important role in resolving these issues so as to turn the world into a hub of peace. Another resolution expressed concern over the terrorism throughout the world, particularly in the motherland Pakistan saying that it has become the order of the day and no city is safe from it, while hundreds of people have become victims to it. The resolution strongly demanded from the government to ensure effective implementation of Anti-Terrorism Act so as to root out terrorism but for this it is obligatory for the government, the opposition and the electronic and print media rather all sections of society to express hatred against the banned groups as in it lay welfare of all and honour and dignity of the motherland. The resolution lamented that on one hand the government calls upon the media not to present terrorists as heroes while she herself makes them and their patrons with them. The resolution made it clear that peace cannot be restored through begging but by fulfilling the norms and justice and fair-play. The resolution warned the government to give up her attitude of pushing the Shian-e-Haider Karrar with the wall because Pakistan was the fruit of joint efforts of all and attack on any citizen is an attack on the whole Pakistan.

Another resolution said that sometimes the government profusely condoles in some incidents and announces huge monetary help but if any poor fells victim then their attitude become indifferent which indicates that the rulers themselves desire to spread anarchy. The resolution demanded from the government to set up a high level Tribunal to probe all incidents of terrorism, compensation should be paid to all affected families, while the culprits should be arrested forthwith and given exemplary punishment. The resolution made it clear that all citizens of Pakistan are equal but it is tragic that the government and her advisers take care of those who use strong language and this dual standard rule is not in favour of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Istaqbal-e-Ramazan gatherings were also organised at Danishgah-e-Jafariya, Madrassah Imam Musa Kazim, Jamia Shah-e-Najaf, Jamia Al-Momineen, Jamia Al-Masheer and other places.
