HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: In celebration of mauledo Najamayn min Najomi Ahl-el Beit (p), or the birthdays of two stars from the stars of holy progeny of holy Prophet (p), Al-Imam Muhammad Al-Baqir (p) and Al-Imam Ali An-Naqy Al-Hady (p), festive gatherings, galas, festivals, and poetic meetings were witnessed across Iraq particularly in holy city of Karbala.

Al-Imam Al-Baqir (P) was born in the holy city of Medina, Saudi Arabia, on first Rajab Al-Asab in 57 AH. His mother was Fatimah, daughter of Al-Imam Al-Hassan bin Ali Al-Mojtaba (p), while Al-Imam Al-Hadi (p) brightened this world with his noor on 5 Rajab Al-Asab 214 AH.

In this connection, the holy city of their grandfather Al-Imam Al-Hussein bin Ali (p) – holy Karbala – was fully decorated with fresh flowers, colorful buntings, banners inscribed with greetings to holy Prophet (p) and Al-Imam Al-Asr (p), and bright lights. Special sweetmeats were distributed, grand spiritual celebratory programs were held, speakers threw light on the pious life of Imamayn (p), eulogists chanted eulogies in praise of the two imams and thus felicitation was offered o the holy Prophet (p) and his holy progeny (p).
