Destructed mausoleum of Sayyed Ahmed, son of Al-Imam Mousa bin Ja’far
Al-Kazem (P), in the Abi Sayda area, 25 km (16 miles) north of
Baquba(April 2005) |
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: A.H. Kazemi, Central Joint Secretary of TNFJ –
the only representative organization of Pakistani shias - has written
an open letter to every conscious human being, all world
organizations, human rights and archaeological signs protecting
bodies, and leaders and clerics of all religions to take steps for
protection of historic holy signs in Iraq in the wake of recent
demolition of a number of these in different Iraqi regions.
The text of the letter is:
“Respected brother/sister,
Assalamo Alaikum
Whereas international organizations are under obligation to spend all
their energies for protection of entire humanity, there they are also
duty bound to protect and care for all that historic archaeological
signs which are beneficial for humanity and lesson-giving to the
coming generations.
Earlier, countless Islamic signs were destructed in Saudi Arabia that
are still levelled. Now in Iraq which is soil of Prophets, Messengers,
Saintly Personalities and Righteous Persons, the holiest
archaeological signs and sites are being erased. Those powers are at
the front of this shameful act whom the world labels today as
extremist, radical, fundamentalist and terrorist. On the holy Iraqi
soil, recently a number of holy sites have been dynamited.
Strong fervent appeal to all powers that be and men of knowledge and
wisdom of the world, Marajay, clerics, thinkers and intellectuals of
all religions, world organizations including United Nations, UNESCO,
ICC, OIC and organizations for human rights and protection of
archaeological signs besides rulers of 57 Muslim States to step
forward and take measures for its protection, because not to protect
them would be an atrocity and oppression not only against history
rather the coming generations.
Sincere,
A.H. Kazemi

"Knowledge is
better than wealth because it protects you while you have to
guard wealth. it decreases if you keep on spending it but the
more you make use of knowledge ,the more it increases . what you
get through wealth disappears as soon as wealth disappears but
what you achieve through knowledge will remain even after you."MORE
