Millions in Iraq pray for peace on Eid ol-Fitr

HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Iraqis celebrated Eid ol-Fitr on Friday November 04 with religious devotion and respect as authorities maintained tight security fearing an increase in terror attacks.

The Eid marks the end of the Ramadan month of dawn-to-dusk fasting.

Main eid prayer congregations were held in Holy cities of Najaf, Karbala, Kadhemiyah (Baghdad) and samara attended by millions of believers.

During eid prayer, they prayed for the restoration of peace and security in their country and many Iraqis visited the graves of their relatives who had died in the violence and attacks.

Throngs of devotees visited the holy shrines of Al-Imam Ali, Al-Imam Al-Hussein, Abu`l Fadhl Al-Abbas, Al-Imam Mousa Al-Kadhem, Al-Imam Muhammad At-Taqi, Al-Imam Ali An-Naqi and Al-Imam Hasan Al-Askari (peace be on them all) for thanksgiving of the blessings of the fasting month of Ramadan. 


Eid-ol Fitr marked in various global parts

DUBAI, UAE: Muslims in various Arab, Asian and African countries observed Eid-ol Fitr marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan on Thursday devotedly and enthusiastically with prayers for safety of humanity and success of Islamic world.
