Kufa Mosque, Muslim b. Aqeel shrine bombing attempt foiled

KUFA, Iraq: Iraqi police found 13 bombs on
Saturday that were planted near the wall of holy shrine of
Muslim bin Aqeel (AS) and Kufa Mosque in Kufa, Buratha News
reported quoting a Najaf official.
The bombs were soon disposed off.
Muslim bin Aqeel (AS) was cousin, brother-in-law and
ambassador of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS) to Kufa.
Kufa Mosque is one of four dignified mosques. Offering two-raka
prayer therein is equal to 100 raka prayer. To offer
obligatory prayer therein is equal to a hajj. This is the
place where a traveler has option either to offer qasar prayer
or Itmam. According to traditions, here 1,000 prophets and
ausiyaa (deputies) have offered prayers.
