Terrorists’ attempt to bomb Baratha mosque thwarted

BAGHDAD, Iraq: Terrorists this week tried to conduct a bomb explosion in front of one of gates of historic mosque Al-Baratha Mosque which is situated at a distance of five kilometers from the holy shrine of Al-Imamayn Mousa Al-Kazem and Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad (peace be upon them) in Kazemiyah.

According to Baratha news agency, security men of Al-Baratha Mosque found a bomb on Monday March 6 in front of back gate. Bomb disposal squad was called on which disposed-off the bomb.

Al-Baratha mosque, which receives some 4,000 pilgrims daily, is a sacred place in sight of Muslims and Christians as well.
Al-Baratha Mosque is housed at a distance of five kilometers from the holy shrine of Al-Imamayn Mousa Al-Kazem and Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad (peace be upon them) in Kazemiyah, Iraq.

Iraq leaders call for probe into govt laxity on shrine security report

BAGHDAD, Iraq: Iraqi politicians have called for an investigation into why the government did not respond to a report that security had been breached around the holy shrine of Al-Imamayn Ali Al-Hadi (p) and Al-Hasan Al-Askari (p) in the holy city of Samarra.
