Kazemiyah witnesses silent protest against displacements

By: Ismail Zabeeh

KAZEMIYAH, Iraq: Iraqis, forcefully displaced from their homes by terrorists after the heinous deadly Samarra Shrine destruction tragedy, held a silent march after Friday prayers protesting against "forced displacement", while an average of 35 to 50 bodies are brought to Baghdad’s main morgue every day, likely victims of terrorism, according to its deputy director.

The protestors holding banners inscribed with anti-terrorism statements, marched silently from the revered shrine of Al-Imam Mousa bin Jafar Al-Kazem (AS) and Al-Imam Muhammad Taqi Al-Jawwad (AS) in Kazemiyah.

"Displacement is like calling for divisions" said a banner held by some protestors, while another banner said "Banish terrorists who displace people."

BAGHDAD, Iraq: A new estimate by one of Iraq's high-ranking official has put the number of families who have fled their homes at 100,000, a number far greater than recent projections by other Iraqi officials.
