Karbala ceremonies richly commemorate martyrs

HOLY CITY OF KARBALA, Iraq: A ceremony for height of ranks of
martyrs who were martyred in the recent bomb blasts near the holy
shrine of Al-Abbas (AS) in the holy city of Karbala was held on May 5
at Ahl-ol Beit (AS) University in this sacred city. More than 200 were
martyred and hurt in the attacks.

Ayatullah Sayyed Mortadha Al-Qazvini, Ahl-ol Beit (AS) University
chancellor Dr Abbas Hussein Jawwad, head of journalism department Dr
Muhammad Abd-Fihaan, Dr Adnan Muhammad Aal-i-Tam’ah, Dr Hikmat Al-Khaffaji,
Dr Forat Shakir Watot, Sayyed Sadeq Al-Qazvini and many others
addressed the ceremony paying tributes to the martyrs. They urged the
need to work with patience and unity to thwart the conspiracy of
enemies.
During the ceremony a documentary film was also shown on the life of
three martyrs of the university who were martyred in the said attacks.
