By: Ali Muradi

HOLY CITY OF QOM, Iran: Ayatullah Muhammad Sadeq Al-Huseini Ar-Ruhani in his speech on the occasion of the reception of the holy month of Ramadan threw light on importance of jihad and preaching in Islam besides criticizing social corruption.

He said the most important Jihad is Amar Bil Ma’ruf Aa Nahi Anel Monker (bidding good and forbidding sins), and that the divine punishment befalls on each nation whose scholars leave this important task.

The Ayatullah mentioned that the divine punishment befalls the silent on the deviation more than its injuring the delinquents, as was happened with prophet Shu'aib (p)'s people.

He discussed social and intense moral corruption in Iran holding religious scholars, nation and the society responsible. He criticized the government especially in its negligence with the offences that happen to the principles of religion and the Muslims sanctuaries.
