Leave holy cities: Hawza to As-sadr and Mehdi militia By: Ismail Zabeeh HOLY CITY OF NAJAF, Iraq: Hawzah Ilmiya Najaf-e-Ashraf has called upon Moqtada As-Sadr and Al-Mehdi militia to leave the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala to protect the honour and sanctity of the cities. The Hawzah made the call in a statement while referring the instance of the Master of Martyrs al-Imam Al-Hussein bin Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be on them), grandson of holy Prophet (peace be on him & his pure progeny) when he changed his Hajj to umrah and left the holy city of Mecca so that its sanctity be not violated with spilling of his holy blood therein after he came to know the planning of his killing in the city which houses the holy Ka’abah.
