Ibd grand Zuljinah procession absorbs thousands; Zanjir-zani performed.

By: Salman Alvi

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - February 18: Despite sheeted rain and severe cold, thousands of mourners participated in the annual Alam and Zuljinah procession that was taken out from Jamia-tul-Murtaza G-9/4 Islamabad under the auspices of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi.

Paying homage to grandson of holy Prophet (SAW) and son of Hazrat Ali (A.S.) and Hazrat Fatimah (A.S.), Hazrat Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his sincere companions for the invaluable sacrifices rendered by them in Karbala, the participants reiterated their resolve to promote message of Hussainiyyat for survival and solidarity of motherland Pakistan, and to promote Sunni-Shia brotherhood, and every conspiracy of enemies of religion and country would be thwarted by unity.

Replica of Zuljinah, Alam, Cradle of Ali Asghar (A.S.), Coffin Shahzada Qasim (A.S.) were included in the procession.

At Muhammadi Chowk G-9/2, Khateeb Fateh-e-Farat, Chauhdry Mushtaq Hussain and Syed Nazeer Hussain Shah addressed to Matamdaran-e-Hussain. They said the grief of Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) is not inheritance of any particular school of thought rather his sacrifice was for human values and Godly principles, that is why every conscious person is indebted to Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.).

The participants while raising vociferous slogans passed a resolution which made it clear that Muharramul Haram is the month of mourning Imam Aali Muqam (A.S.) and is commensurate with the Azadari-e-Imam-e-Mazloom-e-Karbala (A.S.) that is a great worship of the mourners. The resolution said that if there had been no sacrifice of Hussain ibne Ali (A.S.) in Karbala, then there would have neither mosques nor calls for prayers (Azan).

It said that the first Ashra of Muharram is about to end but some provincial governments have not yet formed Azadari Muharram Cells despite several reminders while Tehreek Nafaz-e-Fiqh-e-Jafariya had set up Azadari Control Rooms on federal and provincial level including Azad Kashmir and Northern Areas ahead of Muharram, which re working round the clock.

The resolution demanded from the government to issue directions to the administration to cooperate with Azadaran instead of creating problems for them which damages the government credibility.

It made clear that Azadri programmes would remain in continuation without any fear. It urged all makatib-e-fikr to avoid all those acts which are beneficial for our combined enemy.

By another resolution, the grand procession lamented that musical and comedy programmes were still continuing on the electronic media which is contradictory to the essence of Pakistan’s basic ideology.

The resolution said that the world has learnt the lesson of staging protest from Azadari Mazloom-e-Karbala and according to a saying of Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya Hamid Moosavi no one is the biggest oppressed than Hussain (A.S.) and no protest is bigger than Azadari.

The participants of the procession resolved to fully follow the country-wide Code of Azadari announced by Quaid-i-Millat-i-Jafariya and vowed to support every line of action given by him for promotion of Mission of Wila and Aza and achievement of rights of Millat-e-Jafariya Pakistan.

Later, Azadaran extended their profound condolences to Muhammad (SAW) and Aal-e-Muhammad (A.S.) by performing Zanjir Zani. The procession culminated at Jamia Imam As-Sadiq Karachi Company after marching through its designated route.

Mukhtar Students Organisation, Ibrahim Scouts, Mukhtar Generation, Mukhtar Force and other religious and political organisations participated in the procession arrangements. Sabeel-e-Hussaini was also arranged during the procession.

TNFJ Islamabad Muharram Committee members headed by convener Allama Basharat Hussain Imami, high officials of the Administration and a heavy contingent of police escorted the procession all along its route.

Prior to the procession, a Majlis-e-Aza was held at Jamia-tul-Murtaza addressed by Allama Sheikh Ijaz Hussain Modarris, Allama Zawwar Hussain Madni, Zakir Ibne Ali Kazmi and Zakir Alamdar Hussain Shah.
