Babul Hawa’ij - Imam Moosa-e-Kazim (AS)

Rajab 25 is the martyrdom day of the 7th descendant of Holy Prophet (SAW), Hazrat Imam Moosa-e-Kazim (AS) bin Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS). His kunyas (epithet) were Abul Hassan, Abu Ibrahim and Abu Ali. He is known as Al Abdus Saleh (the pious worshipper of Allah). One of his titles is ‘Babul Hawa’ij’ (the door to fulfilling needs). Even after his martyrdom, he continues to be obliging and is generous to his devotees who come to his Holy tomb with prayers. The period of his Imamate was thirty-five years.

Imam Ali’s pathetic words on Hazrat Fatimah’s martyrdom

Jamadius Saani 3 (bena be rawayate mash'hoora – according to famous narrations) is that sorrowful, pathetic and grievous day when the beloved daughter of Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace of Allah be upon Him and his progeny) was martyred in the year 11 A.H. in Medina al-Munawwara. Her house was set ablaze; the burning-door was flung upon her and consequently her holy ribs were being broken causing the martyrdom (babe birth) of her son Hazrat Mohsin (A.S.) whom she was carrying. All this cruelty happened short after the departure of Holy Prophet from this world. Her heirloom Fadak was also usurped from her.
